Environmental Identity & Multi-Cultural Enclave Design
DMZ required developing distinct visual identities for multiple cultural enclaves within a fractured Manhattan. I designed environmental systems for Chinatown and Spanish Harlem districts, each with its own graphic language reflecting authentic street culture. This included storefront systems, multi-lingual signage, neon and marquee design, and a complete political campaign identity ("Rey del Barrio"). I coordinated fabrication across scenic, signage vendors, and construction teams to ensure all elements functioned at architectural scale while maintaining cultural specificity.
CHINATOWN ENCLAVE: For DMZ, I designed a dense ecosystem of signs, lit marquees, neon, and storefront systems to build a multi-layered street culture for the camera.

SPANISH HARLEM ENCLAVE: I developed a bold, expressive graphic language for DMZ’s Spanish Harlem district, applied across banners, storefront signage, and digitally designed hand-painted elements.

POLITICAL RALLY | COMMUNITY IDENTITY GRAPHICS: I developed the visual identity and rally graphics for the “Rey del Barrio” storyline, deployed across banners and community signage.
